Gilded Grace was never meant to be just a resale shop.
From the outside, people may see a small-town storefront filled with thrifted treasures, handmade goods, vintage finds, and consigned items. But from the beginning, the vision has always been much bigger.
Gilded Grace is a faith-based, community-centered business built on restoration, resilience, advocacy, sustainability, and purpose. It is a place where people can donate, consign, shop, create, connect, and contribute to something larger than themselves.
The heart behind Gilded Grace began years before the storefront, around a kitchen table in Portales, New Mexico, where Erica and her daughters created goat milk soap, custom shirts, signs, and handmade items together. What started as creativity and bonding grew into confidence-building, business learning, life conversations, and generational growth.
Over the years, that small beginning grew through booth spaces, local shops, online sales, and eventually into the brick-and-mortar location at:
Gilded Grace, LLC
508 East Cherokee
Wagoner, Oklahoma
Today, Gilded Grace continues to provide a space for resale, consignment, handmade vendors, and donated items, but the long-term mission goes beyond selling products. Profits from Gilded Grace will help fund local student scholarships, advocacy support, life and career coaching, and faith-based encouragement for individuals and families navigating difficult seasons.
A major part of this mission is advocacy.
As a military family, Erica experienced firsthand what it was like to move often, learn new school systems, understand changing policies, and fight for her child’s needs. Those experiences were often heartbreaking, but they also planted a seed. Instead of allowing those challenges to create bitterness, Erica chose to grow through them by gaining education, experience, and tools to help others feel less alone.
Gilded Grace’s future mission will focus on supporting others through areas such as:
Special Education Advocacy
Alternative Education Advocacy
ADA Compliance & Property Code Enforcement
Land Management / Property Issues
Life & Career Development
This looking more like:
Helping parents understand IEP meetings
Attending meetings as support
Assisting in explaining policy language
Helping organize documentation
Assisting people in understanding permitting/code processes
Connecting people to resources
Helping EVERYONE navigate systems within their communities
Coaching communication and self advocacy skills
Assisting EVERYONE with navigating challenges in their lives
This mission will be built with confidentiality, respect, faith, and integrity at the center. No personal stories will ever be shared without permission. Even Erica’s own family stories are held with care, because while parents are a huge part of their children’s lives, they are only one part of a much bigger story.
Gilded Grace is about more than resale.
It is about helping people see value again — in items, in stories, in families, in communities, and in themselves.
It is creativity.
It is advocacy.
It is sustainability.
It is faith in action.
It is generational growth.
It is more than a shop.
And this is only the beginning.
